Whats the importance of C class IP in SEO?

In the era of spam, many webmasters started creating multiple website on same server and linked each other to increase the sites backlink and ranking. Search Engines identified this issue and started avoiding links coming from similar IPs - given its easy to get different D class ips on same server, Search Engines also started avoiding Links from same C Class IP. So when Search Engine see that you’ve a link coming from same C Class IP on which your website is located, the backlink will not have any importance.
Please note you’ll not get penalized if you’ve link coming from same C class IP, but you’ll not get any advantage either. So if you are doing the link exchange especially if you don’t have your own server, do check if the person you are linking to has a different C class ip than yours.

Increase Website Traffic by ABC

ncreasing web traffic is not that difficult if you are armed with the right knowledge. In fact, it can be quite easy if you simply remember A.B.C. The acronym A.B.C. stands for analytics , bookmarking and content . If used correctly, all three can greatly improve your web traffic over the course of time. By utilizing A.B.C., you will not only increase hits to your website, but also save money, as these methods are free to use.
 Analytics
The great thing about Google Analytics is that it is a “no cost” solution for everyone. It is also a powerful internet resource that allows website owners to track things like their page views, unique visitors, and entrance keywords. Additionally, people can monitor their users’ behaviors and navigation patterns, which will allow them to gain a better sense of what is popular or engaging on their websites.
For example, if you review your monthly analytics and see that many of your users click on your “Blog” page, but very few click on your “About Us” page, you will start to get a sense of what your users find intriguing. If you are strategic, you will use this information to your advantage by adding more content to your blog. You may also take a more pro-active approach and promote your blog on your site’s homepage as it is the first thing users will see.

Tip: Use analytics to improve website traffic by paying attention to user behavior and giving users exactly what they want.

Bookmarking
Social bookmarking is a great concept that website owners are utilizing to gain a competitive advantage. A bookmark is a stored web location (URL) that can be retrieved quickly from your browser. Once website URLs are bookmarked, people can organize, search or reference web locations with ease. Bookmarks become social when posted as links on popular content sharing sites, like digg.com or del.icio.us . Once posted on websites, bookmarks can be tagged with keywords, which allow users to search and find content.

You can increase hits to your website with social bookmarks in one of two ways. You can post a link to your website on a social bookmarking site, site users will click on your link, and you will gain traffic. Or, the search engines will count the bookmark as a back link, which will improve your organic rank over time and ultimately attract more users to your site.
Tip: Use social bookmarking to reach a larger audience by posting links on highly trafficked content sharing sites like del.icio.us.

Content
For site owners, one of the best ways to increase website traffic is through the use of informational content that incorporates targeted keyword phrases. You must provide your users with content that is engaging, entertaining, well-researched and most importantly, relevant to the users that you are hoping to attract. It has been said over and over again, on the internet “Content is King.” If you are hoping to improve the quantity and quality of your traffic, you will need to add content to your web pages that will not only rank in the search engines, but that will also captivate user interest. If you are unsure of how to write good content to increase website traffic, there are tons of internet resources that can provide you with helpful suggestions.

Google's Ranking Factors

Every one thinking that why some sites are ranked so high on Google and why other sites are no where to be found? Over the last 5 or 6 years Google has been tweaking their algorithm to analyze on page (code) and off page (links) factors which affect how websites rank on their popular search engine. Here is a list of the factors that Search Engine analyzes and a viewpoint that Search Engine can take when analyzing a site:

Title Tags
1. Keywords - the keywords within the title tag should represent the content on the page.
2. Length - the title tag should be short and to the point. It length not more than 60 characters.
3. Keywords use in title tag.
4. keywords use in body tex.
5. Link of body text content of keyword.

    2. Length - the meta description should be short and to the point.
Unique - each page should have a unique meta description.

Content
1. Keywords - there should already be keywords within the content if content is written for your visitors. There should also be variations in the keywords (apple, apples) as well as additional related keywords (apple, fruit) within the content.
2. Prominence - the earlier the keywords appear in the content the more likely that the content is related to these keywords.
3. User - The content should be written for visitors.
4. Quality of document content.
5. Links - links within the content should be related to the content.

2. Titles - links should have titles that represent the anchor text of the link (tool tip).
3. Representation - link text should represent the linked page.
Indexing
1. Links - by crawling all the links, all the pages of that website should be discovered and indexed.
2. Sitemap - a sitemap should contain links to important pages within a sitwebe.
External Links
1. Authority - if an authority website links to another website, then that other website will be considered valuable to people.
2. Keywords - if there are keywords within the anchor text of a link then it is normal for Google to consider that the website should be ranked for those keywords.
3. Age - the longer a link stays live on a website, the more valuable the link is.
Relevance - if a website links to you and another website, both websites, or at least web pages, should be related to the same topic.
4. Quantity - the more outbound links on a page, the less weight each link will have.
5. Extension - sites with important extensions such as .edu and .gov are considered to link to more valuable sites.
Website
1. Website Age - older websites are considered more relevant then newer websites.
2. Visit Length - in most cases the longer people stay on a website the great the chance that the website is useful to them.
3. Sandbox - websites in the Google sandbox are usually not as relevant compared to older websites.
4. 301 redirect - websites should do a 301 redirect from "yourdomain.com" to "www.yourdomain.com" or vice versa, depending on the circumstance.

The Difference Between Real Pagerank and Toolbar Pagerank

The Google pagerank is very often discussed by webmasters on many forums. When they talk about the pagerank many of them don't understand what is the difference between Real Pagerank and the value displayed by Google toolbar. Continue reading to learn about the difference.
Pagerank is very difficult algorithm. In short the more websites are linking to your domain the higher pagerank will your site get. This is real pagerank. It is updated in real time so if you get a few links pointing to your web today your real pagerank will be increased as soon as the spider will find these links.
If you install Google toolbar you will see the toolbar pagerank value. It is good tool for webmasters to get an idea how important is the visited website. Toolbar pagerank is updated only a few times a year. For this reason it may happen that new website has no toolbar pagerank but ranks well.
People are sometimes confused why they dont rank better in SERPs when their toolbar pagerank increases. You should keep in mind that these values has really nothing to do with your website ranking. Only real pagerank has impact on the SERPs.
So when is useful to use Google toolbar? E. g. when you are looking for link exchange partners. If your site had PR 5 you will probably want to get backlinks from pages with similar or higher pagerank. Also when you are doing forum marketing for SEO purposes you will probably start to post in forums with higher pagerank.

User Behavior Google Analytics Services

Driving the traffic to the website is the first and fundamental step for getting sales. Conversion of the traffic into sales then becomes crucial. With Google analytics it becomes easy for the website owner to find out which users are visiting the site, how they are reaching the site and what they do when they ultimately reach the site. These are essential information required for the website to become successful. The information from Google analytics will be very helpful in the tracking of the user behavior and also in finding out where they go on the site. This will be helpful information in serving the customers in a better way and also help in converting the visitors into sales.
 .
Setting up the Google analytics is a very easy task. It is just a small piece of code that is put at the bottom of each page within the closing body tag.

For checking the amount of traffic on your webpage, an individual will have to click on the traffic sources-overview option. This option will give you a detailed report of three kinds of traffic on the site- search traffic, referral traffic and direct traffic.

Search traffic is sent by the various search engines. Referral traffic is traffic coming from a link in some other website. This happens when an individual does some link building with the other websites. Direct traffic is when an individual directly types the name of the website in the browser and visits it. These people are those who already know about the website.

The next thing that an individual should check is the content. The person should find the most important page that visitors visit and try to improve them. This will also help them to understand from which page the visitor leaves the site. This will help in developing the other unseen pages also. This will help the website designer to understand where they are going wrong and are unable to attract visitors.

Thus Google analytics is a boon for the website owners. It is simple to install and works wonders for the benefit of the website owner. The Google Analytics has therefore made the task of website maintenance easy and simple for the website owner. The complications that earlier involved the task has been eliminated with the result that a simple person with a minimum knowledge of the internet can install this and help in the growth of his website. SEO How to: HTML IMG Tag Checker

HTML IMG Tag Checker

The HTML IMG tag embeds an image in an HTML page. Images are not technically inserted into an HTML page, images are instead linked to HTML pages. The IMG tag creates a holding space for the referenced image.

The Alt attribute of an IMG tag is meant to be used as an alternative text if the image is not available.  In HTML authoring, there are very good reasons to include an Alt attribute into every IMG element. The purpose is to specify a textual replacement for the image, to be displayed or otherwise used in place of the image.

The Alt Tag Checker from Clarity Media is a good SEO tool for checking the presence of Alt attributes inside IMG tags. This tool will analyze your web page, and report any missing attributes on your images: e.g. if you do not specify any of the width, height or alt attributes, this tool will alert you so as you can correct accordingly.

Network Marketing

3 Reasons Why Network Marketing Isn’t for Fresh Grads

Network marketing, popularly known as “networking” in the Philippines, is a common term heard by fresh graduates around the country. It seems as if every second network marketer calls graduating or just-out-of-college students and offers them “an opportunity to do business”. Here are three reasons why network marketing simply isn’t for fresh grads.
Network marketing has a big problem – they approach fresh grads who are both hungry for a source of income and seemingly ready to tackle anything in life. Having just finished college, having work (any kind of work) is simply the ‘grown up’ thing to do. Unfortunately, network marketing companies gain nothing but bad rep by approaching this group because…

#3. Fresh grads have little to no experience in owning any sort of business.

Network marketing, with its buy-in memberships, lends an air of exclusivity to the business. It is, for simplicity’s sake, a franchise. While they may capitalize on the fresh grad’s hunger for an income source, offering them ‘ownership’ on a company by making sales is almost certainly doomed to fail. With no prior experience to making large sales and meeting certain quotas, they may resort to buying their own products and give the illusion of ‘making sales’ – when in reality, they are spending more than they are earning.

#2. Fresh grads are likely ill-equipped to discuss business.

How many stories has one heard of “the annoying call from a network marketer“? Plenty, I bet. Many fresh grads new in network marketing end up sounding desperate, foolishly discussing (in very vague terms, no less) ‘business opportunities’ to friends and family. What happens is that the network marketing company and its staff/employees end up looking deceptive, dishonest, and lacking in transparency. This is especially true with statements like “I just got into X company a year after graduation and now I’m making Y amount of money – visit our office to learn more.”

#1. Fresh grads over-sell.

When I was a fresh grad, I shamelessly over-sold my academic qualifications and experiences. Not lied about them, mind you (your resume MUST pass background checks and must have paper proof!) but told them repeatedly – enough so that in the end, no one cared. In the end, what mattered was how well I could do a job given to me, PERIOD. This is the ‘harsh reality’ of The First Job, and it gets easier to swallow with experience. Network marketing companies tend to play by this rule – allowing their student/fresh grad recruits to post pictures of cash earnings online, endlessly talk about the virtues of their companies, and preach the wonders of their products. In the end, there is rarely any mention of problems such as price fixing and massive failure rates, only ‘success stories’.

Blogging for Free

Why You Should be Blogging for Free (Sometimes)

It’s undeniable that blogging can make you a lot of money. That’s great; it’s a creative and useful way of earning a living or extra income from one’s expertise and talent. When this happens, it’s easy to be stuck in the rut of always charging for write-ups and blog articles. However, blogging for free could be one of the most enriching and positive experiences you could have as a blogger.

Blogging for Free

#3. Helping a cause.

There are a lot of charitable and non-profit causes that could use the clout only a social media regular like a blogger can provide. The kind of power and reach bloggers have in this day and age is unprecedented – imagine if this was used to further a very good cause. Blogging for free – increasing awareness of a social problem, directing an audience to an awareness video, or even getting them to sign up for petitions - is a great way to help out. By offering services to organizations and foundations in need for nothing is an act of kind donation in itself.

#2. Increase your value.

It’s very reasonable and understandable that bloggers charge for their expertise and professional work. Keeping a blog costs money, and blogging in general costs time, creativity, effort, and sometimes money as well. Servers, domains, and miscellaneous bills need to be paid too. However, blogging for free about the lesser known and/or less-funded things/people increase a blog and blogger’s value simply by helping them be put ‘out there’. It’s a sincere way of promoting (and helping grow!) an independent artist, a friend’s genuinely fantastic artwork, a small-time burger joint with the best toppings ever, or even a hidden side-street with great deals.

#1. No pressure.

When one is paid to write an article, it’s undeniable that there are certain pressures involved. There are keywords to include, pictures to edit and watermark, sources to link to, sentences and paragraphs to edit, and of course, deadlines to meet. When one is blogging for free, the pressure eases off a little bit (at no sacrifice to professionalism, hopefully!) and a blogger is actually a bit more free to write as s/he pleases. This allows the blogger’s personal creativity and ‘writing flavor’ to come out more naturally, making for a better blog and a better blogger.

Facebook Insights

Facebook Insights – Which Stats Matter More?

Social media managers are usually tasked with a very specific Facebook-related job: monitoring and analyzing Facebook insights for their respective corporate Facebook accounts. However, Facebook insights is, quite simply, drowning with data. Which ones matter for your page? Which ones should you use when compiling and creating reports? Here are the Facebook insights stats that matter more than others.
Facebook Insights
New Likes Per Week

The “New Likes Per Week” section of Facebook Insights is easy to access; just click the ‘Likes’ icon on your managed page. How effective your content plan is can sometimes be determined by how interesting it is for your given target market. With this insight, you want the graph to be going up. It does not need to be a steep growth – a gradual but continuous ascent shows that your Facebook page is gaining fans, either via piqued interest or awesome content. Drops in the graph are alright, provided they don’t happen too often and the average graph line is still ascending.

Friends of Fans

This represents your potential fans – but not yet. The trick is to get them to be direct fans, and not just friends of these fans. Some of these will undoubtedly represent a few of your New Likes Per Week Facebook insights stat, and the way to get them will, of course, be interesting content. This pool of potential fans can be ‘hooked in’ by encouraging your current fans to Like and Share your content. This number (which will be massive) should be your conversion target as you have a powerful asset at your disposal – their friends (who are fans of your Facebook page).

Demographics

Your Facebook fans must be located somewhere, and ideally, you would want them to be located where your company’s businesses are. For local brands, say one located in the Philippines, it would do little in increasing actual sales figures if the majority of your fans are international. While this can be seen as ‘good exposure’, as a social media manager, you should use this Facebook insight to help you create content that’s custom-tailored for your local target market (if necessary) and the appropriate age and gender group, for maximum content effectiveness.

Device

Under Like Sources (see below) is a little category called Mobile. This tells you how many of your New Likes originated from a mobile device, most commonly a web-enabled mobile phone. This piece of information from Facebook insights is a rough diamond: it’s a great way to see how many of your community members are logging on Facebook and checking your page using a mobile device. A significant number or percentage (in my opinion, even 10-15 percent of your New Likes is already ‘significant’) coming from mobile should tell you to create and plan content that would be suitable for mobile devices. Offhand, these could be simple but relevant and interesting images, as well as quick and brief status updates that are easy to Like and Share.

Like Sources

A high number of new Likes can cause a spike in the Reach figure in your page’s Facebook insights. This can be seen as engagement but be wary: not all Likes are created the same. Check out your managed Facebook page and take a look at the Like Sources. A  high Reach figure could have been caused by timed Ads and Sponsored stories – in essence, your Reach figure was ‘bought’. Far more valuable would be Like Sources from the following: Friend Referrals (thus tapping into your pool of potential fans), Timeline (your quality content was seen from a fan’s page), and Search Results (good SEO from your content or your company’s content, leading to the Facebook page).

SEO How To

SEO How To – Basics for Bloggers

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is one of the most important things for a blogger/writer to master. This list is a brief collection of my current learnings and experiences with SEO so far.

SEO How To - Basic for Bloggers
With basic SEO tools (such as free plug-ins and SEO software) available online, you’d think this is a breeze. What I have often observed then is that a writer sacrifices story-telling and content quality for a ‘high SEO score’. This may be good for landing hits and pageviews - maybe getting on the first few pages of Google Search, even! - but a million pageviews a month is useless if no one’s coming back for quality content. The following list is your basic SEO how to for content that is less robot-like, and more you – human.

SEO How To #5: Proven Concepts

There is a reason why articles written in list form are so successful: they are reader-friendly, easy to digest, and you can get a lot of information in a relatively short period of time. A top five best of anything is interesting to read, loads fast, and also focuses on what the reader already wants to know – the best of something. A long, wordy article may be great for academic journals, but not very friendly for those on netbooks, tablets, and mobile phones. Short and sweet, lists work.

SEO How To #4: Quality Over Quantity

Are you proud of your 50,000 Twitter followers and/or 100,000 pageviews monthly? These numbers look great on paper (rather, your screen) but if they are not re-tweeting and/or sharing your posts, they aren’t helpful at all. Sign up for Google Analytics and study how much time readers spend on your blog, and find out if they are actually returning. Find out what posts get read the most and which ones bring readers back. A true high-value blog with great SEO is one that gets shared around!

SEO How To #3: SEO and Keyword Families

One of my pet peeves in reading many blogs and articles is the almost robotic repetition of keywords. While free SEO tools will advise you to repeatedly use a keyword several times in a post, this more often than not creates an inorganic and unnatural writing style. Shoot for keyword families – these make for better reading, and believe it or not, a much more effective SEO in-article technique. Check out my article on losing fat faster, and see how keyword families come alive in an organic and natural manner.

SEO How To #2: Links Are Useful

Sharing is caring, and more so in the world of blogging and online writing. You want your article to be linked by other, trustworthy blogs . This will not happen unless you’re a massive authority on a subject (which many of us aren’t) or you get noticed. Increase attention by linking relevant sources, websites, and blogs in your article. Is this self-serving? It’s not, as long as you believe the sites you’re linking gives your own post more credibility and clout. Word of advice: never expect, and never assume other bloggers will back-link to you. What matters more is what you do on your end.

SEO How To #1: Content is King

After all is said and done, a bad post is a bad post. You can ignore everything ever known and taught on SEO but if your article compels people to share it on Twitter or Facebook, and inspire, educate, inform, or motivate others, you are guaranteed to come up more often in search results. Increased quality traffic doesn’t happen overnight, so in the meantime, just keep writing – you will produce better content if you really want to. Quality content begets quality interaction, and in the end, this is what you should aim for.

MLM Five Success Secrets

Five Success Secrets Every MLM Leader Knows

 1. Leaders Build Relationships with People - Network marketing success is built on good relationships and leaders know that to be a success you must understand how to really connect with people. People like to do business with people that they like and trust. People know when someone really cares about them and their success and when the don't. It's been said before - if you help enough people to get what they want - you'll get what you want. Leaders know that building relationships takes time and effort, but it's an investment in your future and theirs.

2. Leaders Stay Connected - Regular communication is essential to building a business. Leaders keep in contact in a variety of ways using newsletters, telephones, e-mail etc. They know that staying connected with their downline is one of the most important responsibilities of being a good upline leader and that regular communication shows the commitment they have to their downline's success.

3. Leaders Keep Learning - Leaders know that they should always keep learning so they can continue to improve their leadership and business building skills. Leaders are constantly reading books, magazines and newsletters, listening to tapes and sharing what they learn with their downlines.

4. Leaders Take Time for Themselves - Taking time off to replenish your batteries is a must for Leaders. They know that taking short vacations, exercising, doing something fun with their families or having a hobby helps them to relax and stay healthy and energized so they can keep themselves and their business in top shape. One of my rejuvenation secrets is to go to one of the major hotels close to my home for a day or two for a mini vacation (you feel like you've been far away from everything even if you are only a few miles away from home).

5. Leaders are Good Listeners - Leaders listen to people and really hear what they say about what's important to them and what their goals are. They know that if they find out what motivates their downline, they can help them to achieve their goals.
